Simple Crocheted Keyhole Scarf in Novelty Yarn
blurrr...
Pattern: My own
Yarn: Moda Vera Burro (52% tactel, 48 polyamide) (approximately 90m/ball)
Balls used: 2 (Still have a bit of leftover)
Needle Size: 6/0 crochet hook
Foundation: Chain 21 stitches (or as wide as you like, eg. n + 1 stitches where n is an even no.)
Row 1: Sc in 2nd chain from hook. Sc all the way to the 1st chain stitch and chain 1. Turn.
Row 2: Sc in the 2nd sc stitch and all the way to the end. Chain 1. Turn.
Repeat row 2 until u get a length that's about 1 scarf-width away from the length of the scarf you want.
Starting keyhole:
row 1: Sc in the 2nd sc stitch and the rest of the 8 sc stitches (or until u've covered n/2 stitches). Chain 1. Turn.
row 2: Sc in the 2nd sc stitch and all the way to the end. Chain 1. Turn.
Repeat row 2 until u get a length that's roughly the same as your scarf width. Bind off.
Attach your yarn to the other end of your undone half of your scarf and follow the above instructions BUT DO NOT BIND OFF. You'll get 2 panels at the end of your scarf.
Fold your scarf in such a way that the end edges of your 2 panels meet. (Refer to diagram) Sc in the 2nd sc of both panels and all the way to the end. Chain 1. Turn. (This will join the 2 panels up) Repeat one more row of scs and bind off. Weave in the loose yarns.
