20 things you didn't know about living in space

Had a look at the ATS forum, and someone posted a thread with a link to this article: 20 Things You Didn't Know About Living In Space

After reading through the list, I almost had a good laugh..! There are certain things i already knew about living in space, but erm, there are some points in there that totally blew my mind.... Especially point no. 17... Only NASA would come up with such "innovative" but troublesome/weird and expensive inventions... LOL... It's just like how they had spent millions of USD (20 mil?) to invent a pen that could work in space when using a less than 1 buck pencil will do.. (then again, that 20mil research can probably help spawn other more useful but economical inventions..)

I just realised there are more of such "20 Things You didn't Know about.." articles in the Discover site. Hahhaa.. Going to read them.. Too interesting. BUAAHAHHAHAHA..

what a hillarious way presenting the facts.

But find it interesting when reading point 10 and 11. (Thought I have known these) So one will be boiled first to dead, before died due to lack of oxygen???

How they actually gauge the timing? One thing, the tester of the 1965 incident, did he/she survived??

seems like he did survived, and he could stil talked ?!?

The subject later reported that he could feel and hear the air leaking out, and his last conscious memory was of the water on his tongue beginning to boil.
